Abstract

  本発明は、縦軸風車並びに風力発電システムに係り、特に、風力ダムとしての支持枠体を構築して、多数の軸配設部を形成し、各軸配設部における縦主軸に、上下端部に傾斜部を形成した縦長羽根を、多段状に複数配設して受風率を高め、一定の設置面積における受風面積と、受風力が大きく、設置コストが低廉で、一定面積当りの発電総量の大きな風力発電機とすることが出来る、縦軸風車に関する。

技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、縦軸風車に係る。特に、風力ダムとしての支持枠体を構築して、多数の 軸配設部を形成し、各軸配設部における縦主軸に、羽根を多段状に複数配設して 受風率を高めた。一定の設置面積における受風面積と、回転効率が大きぐ設置コ ストが低廉で、一定面積当りの発電総量の大きな、風力発電機とすることが出来る縦 軸風車に関する。
背景技術
[0002] 従来、風力発電機の風車として、揚力型の縦軸風車は、縦主軸の周囲に複数の 直状羽根が配設され、縦主軸の片側方の羽根で風を受けて回転するとき、他側方に ある羽根は乱気流を受けて、回転力を低下させるため、軸トルクが弱くて実用性がな いとされている。 縦軸風車は、弱風でも高速回転をするが、羽根の枚数が少ないと 受風面積が小さぐ羽根の枚数が多いと高速風の時に、乱気流を生じさせ易い。 発明の開示
発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0003] この発明は、風車の設置面積当りの受風面積を、飛躍的に増大させ、半面、小型 軽量ィ匕で設置コストを、極端に減少させることの出来る、風力発電機に適した縦軸風 車を、提供することを目的として!ヽる。
[0004] 解決手段として、縦長の羽根の弦長を大きくして、羽根上下端部に傾斜部を形成し た羽根を、長い縦主軸の 1本に多段に複数配設した。発明の具体的な内容は次の 通りである。
[0005] (1)縦主軸の周囲部に、所定間隔をおいて、縦長羽根が左側面を縦主軸に対面さ せて、配設される縦軸風車において、羽根は上下端部に縦主軸側へ傾斜する傾斜 部が形成され、羽根の弦長は、羽根の回転半径の 40%— 55%相当範囲の寸法に 設定されている縦軸風車。

発明の効果
[0010] 本発明によると、次のような効果がある。
[0011] (1) 請求項 1に記載された発明の縦軸風車は、羽根の上下端部に傾斜部が形成さ れているので、回転時において、受風ロスが少なぐ回転効率を向上させる。羽根の 弦長が回転半径の 40%— 55%相当の寸法に大きく設定されたので、羽根の背丈を 高くしなくても受風面積が大きくなり、羽根の枚数を少なくして回転効率を大きくする ことができる。
[0012] (2) 請求項 2に記載された発明の縦軸風車は、羽根の傾斜部が 30度から 45度の範 囲に傾斜しているので、傾斜部に当る風は、傾斜部の内側で風圧が高まり、羽根上 下端部を外方へ押すことから回転力を向上させる。
[0013] (3) 請求項 3に記載された発明の縦軸風車は、縦主軸に羽根が多段に配設されて いて、羽根の位相が上から下にかけて等角度で変位されているので、全周囲から吹 く風を効率良く受けることができる。
[0014] (4) 請求項 4に記載された発明の縦軸風車は、同一水準で複数の羽根を配設すると き、縦主軸力も羽根までの距離が、遠近に違差されているので、同一水準で回転す る羽根は、同一の回転トラック上を回転することがなぐ乱気流の影響がないため、回 転効率を向上させることができる。

[0017] 本願発明の、実施の形態例を、図面を参照して説明する。図 1は本発明に係る実 施例 1の、縦軸風車の要部正面図、図 2は縦軸風車の羽根の、平面位相を示す要部 平面図である。 図における支持枠体 (4)は、中間の固定アームや筋交材などの図 示が、省略されているものである。支持枠体 (4)の基端部は、コンクリート基盤 (B)に固 定される。
[0018] 図 1において、縦軸風車 (1)は、複数の支柱 (2)及び固定アーム (3)とで構成された、 方形の支持枠体 (4)の内側に、軸配設部 (4a)が形成されて ヽる。
[0019] 該軸配設部 (4a)に縦主軸 (5)が、上下の軸受 (6)により、垂直で回転自在に支持され ている。支柱 (2)は、管材、 L型材、 H型材、コ型材、等を使用することができる。またュ ニット状に短尺のものを、複数連結するようにすることができる。
[0020] 図 1における基台 (7)は箱形で、内部には、縦主軸 (5)の下端部を支持する、図示し ない軸受が配設されている。また基台 (7)の中に、図示しない発電器を、縦主軸 (5)に 任意の伝動手段を介して連結配設すると、支持枠体 (4)全体として風力発電機となる
[0021] 図 1において、縦主軸 (5)の背丈は、例えば 7mで、軸の外面には、軸受される近傍 を除いて、補強体 (5a)が被着されている。該補強体 (5a)は、例えば FRP成形体、アル ミニゥム型材の単体、あるいは組合せなどが使用される。
[0022] 該補強体 (5a)は、図 1に示すように、固定体 (8)をも、外力 被覆するようにすること によって、支持アーム (9a)— (9d)の固定部等の、耐候性を高めることができる。

[0024] 縦主軸 (5)には、上下に複数の固定体 (8)が固定されている。固定体 (8)の形状は、 例えば円盤状で、中央に孔が形成され、縦主軸 (5)に外嵌して固定される他、左右 2 つ割として、縦主軸 (5)の左右力 左右片を押しあてて、ネジ止めするようにすることが できる。該固定体 (8)は、風車の回転慣性を維持するフライホイルとして使用すること が出来る。
[0025] 前記固定体 (8)は、上下 1組として、図 1では定間隔で 4段に配設されている。各 1組 の固定体 (8)毎に、それぞれ上下 1セットの支持アーム (9)が、上下平行に配設されて 、その基端部は、固定体 (8)にネジ止される。各上下 1セットの支持アーム (9)の上下間 隔は、羽根 (10)の背丈によって予め決定される。
[0026] なお、支持アーム (9)が上下 3本使用される時は、固定体 (8)も 3個 1セットで使用され る。
前記各支持アーム (9)の先端部の向きは、上段力も下段にかけて、それぞれ 1セット 毎に異なり、図 2に示すように、最上段の支持アーム (9a)は、正面方向を向いている。 2段目の支持アーム (9b)は、回転一方向(A矢示)へ、 90度ほど変向して配設されて いる。
[0027] 3段目の支持アーム (9c)は、更に回転一方向へ 90度変向して配設され、 4段目の 支持アーム (9d)も、 90度ほど回転一方向へ変向して配設される。この回転一方向は 、左回りでも、右回りでもかまわない。
[0028] これにより、最上段の支持アーム (9a)から、最下段の支持アーム (9d)までの、変向角 度の合計は、 90度の 4段階変向の合計で 360度になり、図 2に示すように、各支持ァ ーム (9a)— (9d)は、平面位相で 90度の均等角度で配設されている。
[0029] 図 1において、各上下 1セットの、各支持アーム (9a)— (9d)の先端部には、それぞれ 縦長の羽根 (10)力 正面における左側面(回転時の内側面)を、縦主軸 (5)に対面さ せて、垂直に固定されている。支持アーム (9a)— (9d)と羽根 (10)との固定方法は、羽 根 (10)の大きさ、重量等から、ネジ止め、接着、 FRPの一体固定など、適宜選択され る。
[0030] 支持アーム (9)は、羽根 (10)を支持出来る剛性があり、風抵抗にならないような形状 にする。図示の支持アーム (9a)— (9d)は、例えば FRPの板で形成されている。
[0031] 羽根の大きさは、例えば背丈 100cm— 180cm、厚み 4cm— 6cmで、弦長は回転 半径と羽根の枚数によって変化させる。 1枚羽根の場合の弦長は、半径の 50— 65% の範囲で設定される。
[0032] 羽根 (10)は、正面において上下端部が、左側方向へ傾斜して、傾斜部 (10a)が形成 されている。この傾斜部 (10a)の傾斜角度は、 45度より大きいと風の乱流が生じ易い。 傾斜角度が小さすぎると、風力の回収率が低下する。従って好ましい角度は 30度一 45度である。また傾斜部 (10a)の長さが長過ぎると、抵抗になるので、羽根の背丈の 1 0%以下が好ましい。
[0033] 羽根 (10)の回転に伴い、流体の粘性により、空気は羽根 (10)の側面に着いて回転 する。その結果、羽根 (10)の回転トラック内に入る風流は、羽根の表面の抵抗の小さ な上下方向へと流れる。羽根 (10)の左側面(内側面)の上下端部に、傾斜部 (10a)が 形成されていると、上下方向へ流れようとする気流は、傾斜部 (10a)で阻まれて気圧が 高まり、羽根 (10)を回転方向へ押す。そのため、傾斜部 (10a)が形成されている羽根 (10)の回転効率は、傾斜部 (10a)が形成されていないものに比して、後記するように 1 0%— 40%も向上する。
[0034] 本発明の羽根 (10)においては、弦長 (前後幅)が著しく大きくなつている。この羽根 (10)においては、羽根 (10)の上下端部に傾斜部 (10a)が形成されていることにより、単 純な直状垂直羽根とは異なり、弦長が大きくても、理想的な回転数値が得られること が、確認された。

羽根 (10)は、外側面が羽根 (10)の回転トラック (T)に沿う円曲面になっているため、 縦軸風車 (1)の回転時に、羽根 (10)の外側面は前部から後部にかけて、回転トラック (T)の円曲面に沿っているので、回転トラック (T)からはみ出す部分が無ぐ回転時に 羽根 (10)の遠心部での風による抵抗損が小さい。

(10b)の回転トラック (Ta)よりも、羽根 (10)の内側面後部は、外側に位置して回転するた め、羽根 (10)の内側面に沿って後部へ流れる風は、膨出部 (10b)の回転トラック (Ta)よ りも、外側へ流れる。

[0039] 図 3において、回転する羽根 (10)の左前方から内側面に当り、羽根 (10)の上下方向 へ流れる風は、羽根 (10)の上下の傾斜部 (10a)にあたる。傾斜部 (10a)の先端 (P)の回 転トラック (Tb)は、膨出部 (10b)の回転トラック (Ta)よりも内側にあるため、膨出部 (10b) から後方へ通過する風流が、上下方向へ拡散せず、上下の傾斜部 (10a)に抑えられ 気圧が高くなつた状態で、後方へ高速で通過するため、羽根 (10)の内側面後部を外 側へ押して回転力になる。
[0040] また図 3において、傾斜部 (10a)左側面に当る A矢示の風は、傾斜部 (10a)にあたる と(a)矢示方向へ反発する。これを図 3の平面で見ると、 B矢示の風は (b)矢示方向 へ反発する。この反発する風も反作用として羽根の回転力に加効する。

トルク試験、 足利工業大学牛山研究室所有装置 (インバータモータ型)。 傾斜部 (10a)のない直状羽根についての風洞実験で、風車効率 (Cp)の概略は、次 の結果が得られた。
弦長 13cm。風速 4mZs、 Cp = 0. 06。風速 14mZs、 Cp = 0. 26。
弦長 16cm。風速 4mZs、 Cp = 0. 05。風速 14mZs、 Cp = 0. 27。
弦長 20cm。風速 4mZs、 Cp = 0. 17。風速 14mZs、 Cp = 0. 28。
弦長 23cm。風速 4mZs、 Cp = 0. 10。風速 14mZs、 Cp = 0. 29。
[0059] この実験結果から、弦長 23cmの羽根は、高速風(14mZs)の時に風車効率(Cp) が優れて 、るが、低風速 (4mZs)では風車効率が良くな 、。
[0060] これに対して、弦長 20cm (回転半径の 50%)の羽根は、低風速 (4mZs)でも風車 効率 (Cp)が 0. 17と、他に比して著しく優れていることが確認出来た。
[0061] そこで、本発明に係る風車の、上下端部に傾斜部 (10a)の形成された羽根 (BELLS HION型)について、弦長 20cmの羽根の風洞実験結果は、次の通りである。
弦長 20cm。風速 4mZs、Cp = 0. 25。
風速 8mZs、 Cp = 0. 27。
風速 12mZs、 Cp = 0. 30。
風速 14mZs、 Cp = 0. 32。
[0062] この風洞実験結果から、本発明に係る羽根 (10)と、通常の直状羽根とを対比すると 、本発明に係る羽根 (10)は、回転半径の 50%に当る弦長 20cm、という幅広いもので ありながら、弦長 20cmの直状羽根の、風速 4mZsにおける回転効率 0. 17に対して 、風速僅か 4mZsの弱風速で風車効率 (Cp) 0. 25を越えるという、効率の良さが証 明された。
[0063] これは、羽根の弦長が同じ場合、本発明に係る羽根 (10)が、直状羽根に比して、低 速風 (4mZs)において 47%、高速風(14mZs)においては 14%も、それぞれ効率 が良いことを示している。
[0064] この実験数値は、この縦軸風車 (1)が低速風域から高速風域まで、回転効率の差が 小さぐ安定していることを示している。
[0065] 特に風力発電機は、年間通じて 4mZs以上の風が 2000時間以上吹かなければ、 営業的に採算がとれないと言われている。年間を通して高速風の吹かない日が多い 各地域において、風速 4mZsで、 Cp = 0. 25が得られる本発明縦軸風車 (1)は、風 力発電機用として優れた適性を有して!/ヽると!、える。
[0066] この風洞実験では、羽根 (10)の弦長は、回転半径の 50%相当幅より狭くても、広く ても風車効率 (Cp)が良くならないこと、特に低速風域での効率が良くないことが確認 された。
[0067] 従って、 2枚羽根における羽根 (10)の弦長は、羽根 (10)の回転半径の 45%— 55% の範囲が好ましいことが確認された。ただ、羽根 (10)の大きさ、枚数、設置場所の平 均風速等によっては、弦長は回転半径の 40%— 60%相当長さまで利用することが できる。

[0069] この実施例 3における縦軸風車 (1)は、支持枠体 (4)の支柱 (2)として、既設の高圧送 電線 (L)の鉄塔を、そのまま利用したものである。基台 (7)の中の図示しない発電器に より、発電された電気は集電器 (11)に集電され、変圧器 (12)で変圧されて送電線 (L) を介して回収される。これによつて、設備投下資本が軽減され、また辺鄙な地域での 発電と、電力回収が容易になる。図示するように、羽根 (10)の回転半径を、上下段に よって変ィ匕させることができる。

[0071] この実施例 4は、 1つの支持枠体 (4)に、水平方向で複数の軸配設部 (4a)が形成され 、各軸配設部 (4a)に、それぞれ縦主軸 (5)が配設されて、 1つの支持枠体 (4)に、縦主 軸 (5)が複数配設されていることに特徴がある。図 8において、軸配設部 (4a)は 2区示 されているが、水平方向へ 10区、 20区と連続形成させることができる。
[0072] これによつて、 1つの支持枠体 (4)の中に、多数の軸配設部 (4a)が形成されて、各軸 配設部 (4a)に、それぞれ縦主軸 (5)が配設されている。各縦主軸 (5)に、羽根 (10)が多 段に配設されても、隣接同士の羽根 (10)は、それぞれの向きが異つているので、風の 通りがよぐ回転時における隣同士の羽根 (10)によって生じる、気流の干渉が軽減さ れる。
[0073] 以上のように構成された、この実施例 4の縦軸風車 (1)は、 1つの支持枠体 (4)全体で 1つの縦軸風車 (1)である。同時に 1つの風力発電機となる。その結果、各縦主軸 (5) で、基台 (7)内の図示しない、それぞれの発電器を回転させて発電し、これを集電す る時、 1つの支持枠体 (4)全体として、大容量の発電をすることが出来る、 1つの風力 発電機にすることができる。

[0081] 図 10において羽根 (10AX10B)は、遠置羽根 (10A)の背丈が低ぐ近置羽根 (10B)の 背丈が高く設定されている。前記長短支持アーム (9AX9B)は、左右で 1対 2の長短に してあり、遠置羽根 (10A)の弦長は、回転半径の 50%としたとき 100cm、近置羽根 (10B)は 50cmになる。 このことは、遠置羽根 (10A)の背丈を 100cm、近置羽根 (10B) の背丈を 200cmとして、両羽根 (10AX10B)の受風面積は同じくなる。
[0082] 遠置羽根 (10A)と近置羽根 (10B)は、回転時に同じ回転トラックを通過しないので、 互いに回転による乱気流の影響を受けにくい。

[0089] また発電器 (13)が上下段状に配設され、伝動手段 (14)を介して縦主軸 (5)の回転力 により、個別に発電されるように構成されている。
[0090] 各発電器 (13)には、図示しない自動負荷器開閉装置としての自動クラッチ装置が 配設される。基台 (7)には図示しない軸受、変速器、回転速度センサ、自動制御装置 、自動ブレーキ手段、回転補助モータ等が配設される。
[0091] 回転速度センサは、縦主軸 (5)の回転速度を検出し、この検出数値により自動制御 装置が関連装置機器をコントロールするように構成される。例えば、風速 4mZs以下 の場合、風速の一定段階数値毎に、自動負荷器開閉装置としての自動クラッチ装置 を開閉作動させる。これによつて、上下 4個の発電器 (13)のうち、自動クラッチ装置を 開放させて、縦主軸 (5)の回転力が、発電器 (13)に伝動されない発電器の数を、 1個 一 3個とすることにより、低風速に合わせた負荷で縦軸風車 (1)は回転することができ 、低風速に合った発電をする。
[0092] また、低風速での始動時に、発電器 (13)1台だけ縦主軸 (5)に連結させて始動させ、 風速が増加するに従って、発電器 (13)の連結を増加させる。従って、 1台だけ、他より 発電容量の少ない発電器 (13)を配設することができる。
[0093] 無風時には、自動制御装置の制御により、図示しない回転補助モータを駆動させ て、風車 (1)に始動力を与える。台風時には、自動ブレーキ手段を作動させる。自動 ブレーキ手段は、機械的な物のほかに、電気的な負荷装置を使用することができる。
[0094] 別の自動負荷器開閉装置としては、複数の蓄電池、や電磁コイルなど負荷器に対 する開閉スィッチ装置がある。例えば台風など一定の風速を超える時、風速京の検 知数値に基づき自動制御装置により、開閉スィッチが開放されると、当該風速で発電 出来な 、負荷となるため、風車はブレーキがかかる。
[0095] この実施例 8における発電器 (13)の、自動負荷器開閉装置の制御に関しては、当 然に他の実施例に組合わせることができる。
産業上の利用可能性
[0096] 風車の縦主軸に発電器を連結することにより、風力発電機にすることが出来る。特 に、支持枠体を軽量な支柱で形成することができ、水平方向で広がりを持たせること により、高さを高くすることができ、倒壊が防止され、小型風車の集合体で大発電容 量の、風力発電機にすることができる。

Claims

請求の範囲
[1] 縦主軸の周囲部に、所定間隔を置いて、縦長羽根が左側面を縦主軸に対面させて
、配設される縦軸風車において、羽根は上下端部に縦主軸側へ傾斜する傾斜部が 形成され、羽根の弦長は、羽根の回転半径の 40%— 55%相当範囲の寸法に設定 されて ヽることを特徴とする縦軸風車。
[2] 前記羽根は、傾斜部が垂直に対して 30度一 45度の範囲で傾斜し、羽根先端部は 楕円形に形成されて ヽることを特徴とする請求項 1に記載された縦軸風車。
[3] 前記縦主軸には、羽根が多段状に配設され、該羽根は、上部から下部にかけて 1方 向に等角度に変位され、平面で羽根が縦主軸回りに等角度で配設されていることを 特徴とする請求項 1. 2のいずれか〖こ記載された縦軸風車。
[4] 前記羽根は、同一水準で複数の羽根を配設するとき、縦主軸からの距離を遠近に違 差されていることを特徴とする、請求項 1一 3のいずれか〖こ記載された縦軸風車。
[5] 前記縦主軸は、風車を構成する支持枠体に、水平方向で複数増設可能に構成され
