This thing is great. We have cold winters. I put one sensor outside, another where our pipes are most vulnerable to freezing, and the 3rd one rotates. Some have compared the sensors side by side to see if the get the same temperature. In general, they conclude that they aren't accurate due to minor discrepancies in temp. If this is true, they're still close enough imo. But I went a step further by rotating the position of the sensors. It turns out that at least part of the discrepancy is that the sensors are super sensitive. They pick up minor temp variations that occur just inches apart. Who knew the temp varied like that? All I can say is the one outside is more accurate than what NOAA says the temp is. To be fair, I think NOAA is about 10 minutes behind. So the sensor predicts the number NOAA will soon have. Pretty cool.
I do have a wish list for future versions:
* At least one more sensor would be near perfect.
* A clock would be nice, especially if you could tie it to the min/max 24 hour temps.
* The indoor reading on the monitor should be on top instead of the bottom. Ideally, it isn't denoted by a number like the sensors are. Just call it "Indoor" or "At Monitor."
I love the continuous backlight feature (with two levels) when plugged into external USB power. I also love that it has internal battery backup. The numbers are big and easy to read. Overall a great product at a great price.
This review is after approximately 2 months of use during a very cold winter that started a full month early and hasn't let up yet
